Adrian Collins

Adrian Collins runs Grimdark Magazine and loves anything to do with telling darker stories. Doesn't matter the format, or when it was published or produced--just give him a grim story told in a dark world by a morally grey protagonist and this bloke's in his happy place. Add in a barrel aged stout to sip on after a cheeky body surf under the Australian sun, and that's his heaven.

Where to read your favourite authors for free (without being a pirate bastard)

Let’s face it, if you download people’s books without paying for them, and without the author or publisher’s permission to download them for free, you are a pirate bastard. It’s pretty black and white....

EXCLUSIVE: The Prologue of Legacy of Steel by Matthew Ward

Legacy of Ash by Matthew Ward was hands down one of the best books of last year. When I saw the glorious cover for Legacy of Steel hit the interwebs and read up on the...

EXCLUSIVE: Extract of The Stone Knife by Anna Stephens

The GdM team and I are big fans of Anna Stephens, author of the magnificent Godblind, and when word of her new series through Orbit dropped, we clamoured to get a hold of The Stone...

REVIEW: Morning Star by Pierce Brown

In Morning Star, the final book in the Red Rising trilogy, we catch back up with Darrow and it’d be an understatement to say he’s in a tight spot. His rebellion in tatters, his...

Exclusive cover reveal for Blindspace by Jeremy Szal

After exploding onto the science fiction scene with his barnstorming adrenaline-fest, alien drug-fuelled debut, Stormblood, Jeremy Szal is back with Blindspace, book two in The Common. Blindspace isn’t scheduled for release by Gollancz until October...
