Reviewers wanted!

Last Updated on August 21, 2020

Grimdark Magazine is looking for reviewers to join the meatshields front line troops of its reviewer ranks!

What does GdM review?

As the premier grimdark niche ezine (well, the only one, but let’s not get into semantics), we love reading grimdark fantasy and science fiction books, and pretty much anything else with a grimdark funky scent.

Why does GdM publish reviews?

We publish reviews online and in our quarterly ezine because:

  1. We want to make sure grimdark fans know about every book that appeals to the grimdark market that is coming into bookstores.
  2. We want to see good grimdark authors (traditional and self-published) and publishers (large and small) succeed. This is the best way we know how to help.

You can check out some of our favourite reviews, here, here, and here.

What’s in it for me?

In return for your reviews, we will source you free books directly from publishers, often months before they are released to market. These books will be in either ebook or paperback.

I’m keen as mustard. What do I do?

Email adrian at grimdarkmagazine dot com with:

  • A quick introduction to what you like to read;
  • Links to three of your previous reviews for grimdark (even grimdark-ish) books; and
  • Your reviewer bio, including and website and social media links.

Hope to speak to you soon!

Adrian Collins

Adrian Collins runs Grimdark Magazine and loves anything to do with telling darker stories. Doesn't matter the format, or when it was published or produced--just give him a grim story told in a dark world by a morally grey protagonist and this bloke's in his happy place. Add in a barrel aged stout to sip on after a cheeky body surf under the Australian sun, and that's his heaven.
